Taking an Intermission Between Seasons
Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have experienced more difficulty reaching out to young singers who live or attend school in Wellesley township and the surrounding townships (Wilmot, Woolwich and Perth East) to participate in Wellesley Idol. As a result, we have insufficient registrations to run a proper Wellesley Idol program.
Since we are supported by the Wellesley ABC Festival, and respect the work they continue to do for our community, we have decided to take an intermission and not proceed with Wellesley Idol for 2022, and allow the ABC Festival to better invest in the community with that financial support.
