Nothing could stop us in 2020!
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we examined our options and decided to proceed with an online version of the Wellesley Idol program. We figured that we could provide much of the same value as our in-person program, plus some new opportunities to help our singers with online and recorded performing. Most of all, we felt that it was important to our community to provide one more program which was NOT cancelled as a result of the pandemic.
We mentored six terrific young performers, who together represented Wellesley, Elmira, Conestogo, and New Dundee. We helped them work through the new challenges of performing to a camera, for an online audience, and we had so much fun!
On Saturday, September 26th, we presented our final round of competition through a livestreamed online meeting, featuring special guests performing alongside our finalists, and we crowned our 2020 winners:

2nd place: Mitch Roemer
3rd place: Cassandra Dammeier
