Jonny Sauder is a local musician, multi instrumentalist and recording engineer/songwriter based in Wellesley, Ontario.
Born in Mount Forest, he was a young, eager, natural music lover and musician from the day he was born. He moved to Wellesley with his family when he was four and has made his home here ever since. His first time on stage, when he was eight years old, instilled the bond to the sounds of music and Jonny has never looked back!
Jonny has played and still plays in a number of local bands that range in all styles from jazz to heavy rock to blues to psychedelic and more. Over the last ten-plus years he’s played drums, other instruments, vocals, recorded and produced a number of albums for artist across Canada including his own bands. Recently he’s has returned home from Memphis, Tennessee, playing on the famous Beale street in the 2019 IBC (International Blues Competition) with one of his original bands, Elliott And The Audio Kings.
Jonny’s been helping out as our sound technician for the Idol tryouts and finals for nearly ten years, and is looking forward to hearing new and returning voices year after year.
